From the artist
I'll cloak the black of despair in white,
And quiet sorrow's endless cry.
Perhaps the warmth of honey's light
Can soothe the soul, though salvation wears another hue.
I'll blend the pink of peonies with tea roses,
And stir their softness into honey's amber glow.
We must not yield to every threat life poses —
'This too shall pass,' you'll surely know.
I'll keep the warmth of hearts in crimson red,
For love is where your spirit lives and grows.
I'll scatter the forest's emerald beneath the light of a clear dawn —
My recipe knows nothing of a lie.
The yellow of mimosa will dust the blue of heaven,
Where hope and quiet triumph gently stay.
Here you are sheltered in every season,
And here there will always be a place of refuge for us all.
And quiet sorrow's endless cry.
Perhaps the warmth of honey's light
Can soothe the soul, though salvation wears another hue.
