These terms apply to your use of https://sanssouciag.com, the website of Sans Souci Art Gallery in Toronto, Ontario. By using the site you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the site.

This site does not sell online

There is no checkout, no cart and no online payment on this website. Every piece shown here is a single original work, so availability changes and prices are shared on request. Nothing on this site is an offer capable of acceptance — sending an enquiry does not reserve a work or create a contract. A sale exists only once we have confirmed it with you directly in writing and agreed the price, the delivery method and the payment terms.

Availability, prices and descriptions

We try to keep the catalogue accurate, and works that have sold are labelled Sold or Private Collection rather than removed, so the archive stays complete. Even so, a piece may be reserved or sold before a listing is updated. Prices are quoted individually and are valid only for the period stated in the quotation.

Colour on a screen is not colour in a room. Photographs are taken as faithfully as we can manage, but monitors, phone screens and room light all shift how a surface reads — particularly with resin, metallic pigment and heavily textured work. This is exactly why viewings in Toronto are offered by appointment. Sizes are given as measured; small variations are normal in handmade work.

Commissions

Sergei Troshin accepts commissions. A commission is agreed in writing and covers the size, the materials, an indicative palette, the timescale and the price. Because each commission is made for one client, a deposit is normally required and is non-refundable once work has begun. A commissioned work is an original artistic response to a brief, not a reproduction of an existing piece.

Shipping and collection

Works are packed individually and can be shipped across Canada and internationally, or collected in person by appointment. Shipping is quoted per piece because size, weight, rigidity and framing differ for every artwork. Risk and title pass on delivery or collection. Import duties and taxes outside Canada are the responsibility of the buyer.

Certificate of Authenticity

Every original leaves the studio with a Certificate of Authenticity signed and sealed by the artist. Keep it: it is the document that supports the work's provenance, and it matters for insurance and for any future sale.

Copyright in the artworks and this site

Copyright in every artwork, photograph, and in the text and design of this site, belongs to Sergei Troshin and Sans Souci Art Gallery. Buying an artwork transfers ownership of the physical object; it does not transfer copyright or any reproduction right. You may not copy, reproduce, print, sell, or use the images on this site commercially — including as training data or in generated imagery — without written permission.

You are welcome to link to any page here, to share pages on social media, and to quote a short passage with a credit and a link back.

Links to other sites

Some pages link to outside references such as museum glossaries and conservation guidance. Those sites are not under our control and we are not responsible for their content; we link to them because they explain a term or a practice better than we could in a paragraph.

Limits

The site is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and to the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from its use. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under Ontario or Canadian consumer protection law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply in it, and the courts of Ontario have jurisdiction.
