His wall in the open area

The 105 Gibson Centre is a Christian-based non-profit community care centre on Gibson Drive. Each autumn it turns its open area into a gallery, and 10% of what sells goes to the centre's community services.

Sergei Troshin's paintings hang together on one wall, next to the sign for Room 108. At the top is Morning Forest in Meißen (2023), a blue panel 52 by 28 inches with its title worked into the gold frame. Below it, The Choice (2026) rises from a blue ground in metal spirals and dark pod shapes, and on the right Treasure Behind the Wall II (2024) sets crumpled collage on black. Smaller framed works fill the spaces between them.

Beside the wall stand the Sans Souci banner, a small round table with his cards, and a short printed note headed “How the work is made”.

Opening day, October 10

The opening ceremony ran from 2 to 4 PM on Saturday, October 10. Chairs filled the hall in front of a small stage, the ribbon was cut there, and the people on stage, Sergei Troshin among them, stayed for a group photograph. The programme also listed live art demonstrations and time to meet each artist.

The year before: Expression of Colours, 2025

He showed at 105 Gibson Centre the year before as well. In October 2025 he was one of 15 local artists in Expression of Colours, which ran from October 4 to 29, 2025, opening with a ceremony on Saturday, October 4. As this year, 10% of sales went to the centre's community services. His artist page for that show opened with one line: “Where surfaces whisper and memories shine through.”

The centre keeps a page for each participating artist: Sergei Troshin at Vivid Passion 2026 and at Expression of Colours 2025.
