Heintzman House Art Show and Sale, Thornhill
Every April the Heintzman House Art Show and Sale fills a historic house at 135 Bay Thorn Drive with paintings for sale, and Sergei Troshin has taken part three springs running. Admission and parking are free.
2026 April 24 to 26
Friday 12 to 4 PM · Saturday and Sunday 10 AM to 5 PM
The organisers counted 34 new and returning artists and more than 900 artworks for sale this year. New for 2026 was a shared canvas: for a $2 donation to the local food bank, any visitor could add a mark to it.
Sergei Troshin filmed his own display during the show: panels on a white grid in a bright room by the windows. The video shows The Choice (2026) (2026) with its metal spirals, Treasure Behind the Wall II (2024), Western Wall and Hamsin (2025) (2025), which the show's artist list calls Hamsin II. The same list adds Traces of the Forgotten (2025) (2025), a 30 by 48 inch piece.

A month before the show he invited his followers on Facebook:
“I warmly invite all Torontonians to visit this beautiful event, where I’ll be participating with some of my favorite paintings.”
The display he brought stood on a curved grid between a doorway and a window seat, lit by clamp lamps. Among them, all in the catalogue: Hamsin (2025) in the white frame at top left, Fluently Python (2022) with its stencilled words in the black frame, Hamsin (2022) in blue and rust at the left, and the dark blue Dream Ocean (2022) in its cracked pale frame.

On the Saturday of the show he posted a photo of his corner: about a dozen framed works on a white grid, from small squares to a blue piece in a cracked white frame, lit by clamp lamps.
The show's theme that year, as in the two that followed, was “spring into colour”, and the poster thanked the City of Markham for its support.

Works shown at Heintzman House
In the autumn he shows in Markham, most recently at Vivid Passion at 105 Gibson Centre. The paintings above that are still available can be seen at the studio by appointment; the full list is in the artworks catalogue, and the exhibitions page lists every show.
